For this year’s Annual General Meeting on Sunday 11th August from noon, we will be back at Thelnetham Windmill, with the kind permission of Historic Suffolk (the new name for the Suffolk Building Preservation Trust). As well as the complete 1819 tower windmill, the beautifully maintained site includes a tearoom/workshop, granary (the venue for our meeting), engine shed with working Ruston & Hornsby engine and a toilet. The mill is currently being repainted by millwright Bill Griffiths.
After the meeting, there will be a buffet with light refreshments, and an opportunity to look around the site. The mill is at Grid Ref TM011790, on a minor road close to the Norfolk border. Please park on the open field opposite the mill. Note the slightly later start time of noon from our previous AGMs.
